What a productive season Spring has been!
In May, we celebrated tremendous success with the Sobeys and Pete’s Frootique Pitch Programs, attended the DAAF (Department of Agriculture Aquaculture and Fisheries) Food Safety Conference in Fredericton, and made a splash at SIAL in Montreal. On top of that, FBA hosted two successful Member events in Newfoundland and Labrador in June.
Special thanks to Patrick Griffin of The Oat Company and Alex Hanley of Navigate Food Safety Solutions for their amazing efforts in educating the members of the ANC (Association for New Canadians) about starting a food or beverage business. Support from the Government of Newfoundland Labrador and AAFC (Agriculture Aquaculture & Fisheries of Canada).
The next day, we had a dynamic discussion on efficient logistics and shipping for Newfoundland and Labrador. Our gratitude goes to Patricia Dunlop from the Halifax International Airport Authority and Rob McInnes from the Port of Halifax for their insights.
As you’ll see below, the planning and organizing is well underway, and we’re excited to invite you to the FBA Conference and Awards in beautiful Charlottetown, PEI on October 22/23rd.
Finally, we’re thrilled to announce a new Sobeys Quebec Pitch Program this fall, along with Sobeys Atlantic and Pete’s Frootique. Kudos to all FBA members achieving awards and growing their sales!
Enjoy your summer!
