About the FBA Conference and Awards The Food & Beverage Atlantic Industry Conference theme this year is Connect-Grow-Thrive. As we re-engage in person with our large network of food and beverage industry peers and stakeholders, this conference will focus on opportunities and solutions to help companies continue to grow and develop. The conference Keynotes will share best practices, experiences, and guidance. This year’s conference is the launch of the first ever FBA Industry Awards! This will become an annual award ceremony where some of our superstar member companies will be recognized for their incredible accomplishments in brand, innovation and growth. This is the not-to-be-missed event of the year where we celebrate the Atlantic Canada food and beverage industry and set the bar high for even more to recognize in years to come!

There are many generic business building sessions you can attend out there but this Masterclass, presented by Food & Beverage Atlantic, is curated just for you. Food experts will be delivering the content as it relates to you – a food or beverage company in Atlantic Canada. This course is filled with real life examples, hands-on exercises, peer-to-peer sharing, practical takeaways, and tools that will help you save time and money while building a better food business.
This 6-week course will help business owners and leaders develop a roadmap for managing, improving, and scaling their food & beverage business. The course covers all aspects of general business, from defining purpose and competitive strategy to building high performing teams and managing for profit. Attendees will work together in a workshop setting to learn techniques and skills using a case study and sharing their experiences.

October 28TH – Introductory HACCP – HACCP Food Safety Plan A training course designed to review the philosophy and principles of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System and to discuss how to implement HACCP in food plants. The training curriculum is based on the information presented in the1998 National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria For Foods (NACMCF) HACCP document and subsequent revisions as approved. The HACCP training program is consistent with the intent and scope of the CFIA, FDA, USDA, and FSIS Pathogen Reduction HACCP regulation. The purpose of this course is to train operational, technical and quality staff from sites that need to be able to understand basic of HACCP 12 steps & 7 principles. |

EXPERT IMPLEMENTATION FUND PROGRAM
The Expert Implementation Fund is intended to help food and beverage producers and manufacturers identify and leverage support from an industry expert(s) in an effort to overcome operational barriers through the implementation of quick, impactful solutions focused on continued growth.
This fund will support the implementation of small projects in various streams such as, but not limited to, finance/accounting (integration of programs for retailers), product innovation (market research, value-added products, product development, recipe formulation, shelf-life study, identifying co-packers, identifying ingredients, etc.), packaging, marketing (branding for export, etc.), and food safety procedures. |
